What is FTC?

FTC, or FIRST Tech Challenge, is an annual robotics competition for 7th-12th graders. Each year, a challenge is announced, and teams will build and program robots to complete the objectives and score points. In addition to this, FTC teams should also strive to outreach into their local communities to share STEM and robotics knowledge, and learn to accurately document their work in an Engineering Notebook or Portfolio. FIRST teaches both STEM and soft skills to young competitors, giving them an edge in higher education and work environments.

Our Goals

Having qualified to regionals in the past FY18-19 and FY19-20 seasons, we hope to qualify again this FY21-22 season, and work hard to possibly make it to Worlds! We encourage all of our team members to learn about STEM and maximize their potential as engineers. Our team is also currently striving to spread STEM knowledge to as many youth as possible within our Bay Area communities through online classes and presentations at schools. Additionally, we will be working hard this summer to implement new design ideas and train for the upcoming season.
