FTC, or FIRST Tech Challenge, is an annual robotics competition for 7th-12th graders. Each year, a challenge is announced, and teams will build and program robots to complete the objectives and score points. In addition to this, FTC teams should also strive to reach out to their local communities to share STEM and robotics knowledge, and learn to accurately document their work in an Engineering Notebook or Portfolio. FIRST teaches both STEM and soft skills to young competitors, giving them an edge in higher education and work environments.
